Replace convertTo/stringify with non-throwing alternatives.
...
Having these throw is terrible for ergonomics and there are loads
of places where the exception was either silently ignored or not
handled at all. Having a function which returns an optional and
another that returns a default works a lot better imo.

Fix access lists showing the wrong mask if the display nick for a group
...
expires but the group still exists. This can cause access entries for
nicks to not be deleted whenever the nicks are deleted.

Change extensible keys to require explicitly having a type defined for it. Completely modularize more features like bs_kick, entrymsg, log, mode, etc. Move fantasy to its own module. Move greet to its own module.
